Why IVF Is Less Likely To Result In Multiple Births

babiesReproductive technology has come a long way. IVF, once a near miraculous way for infertile couples to conceive children, was used 165,000 times in 2012, the largest number of procedures in history.

Even just years ago it was thought that a woman would have to have multiple embryos implanted into her uterus in order to get pregnant, called a multiple embryo transfer, but recently fertility doctors (Reproductive Endocrinologists) and fertility clinics and practices have proven that really one can be enough, helping women to get pregnant without conceiving multiples, which is safer for both mother and baby.
