Santa Monica Fertility works with closely with California Premium Surrogacy to provide pre-screen and qualified surrogates for immediate matching. Typically intended parents find a surrogate through a surrogacy agency. Once chosen, the surrogate still has to undergo extensive medical and psychological screening and may fail to qualify as a surrogate requiring the intended parents to start over. In contrast, California Premium Surrogacy pre-screens all of their surrogacy candidates making sure they are cleared by a fertility specialist, a high-risk obstetrician and a psychologist. In addition, a home study is done by a qualified Medical Social Worker to assure that the living environment of the surrogate is safe and supportive of a pregnancy. CPS surrogates are followed from the start of the pregnancy until delivery allowing seamless transition from fertility care to obstetric and post-partum care. This integrated approach has been welcome by many of our gay clients who prefer the personal relationship of working with one team rather than a multitude of agencies, doctors and attorneys. We are also skilled in working with outside surrogacy agencies and with private/family surrogates.
